Product Care

We proudly use Odie's Oil - a high quality food safe oil that should provide lasting durability and beauty.  However, as a natural product, wood is prone to wear over time with repeated use.  Below are some tips and recommendations to keep your Barlow & Co products looking new for a long time.

1. Hand wash only - Don't put it in the dishwasher
2. Our finish will help repel water, however don't let it soak in water
3. Use soap and warm water
4. Apply a food-grade oil to your item if it is looking a little dry.  We recommend Odie's Universal Oil.  Otherwise, any food-grade oil will work.  Do not apply vegetable oils as they will go rancid over time.
5. If your item is a little rough to the touch, you can sand it with 220 grit sandpaper (or finer).  After a light sanding, apply your preferred food-grade finish
